Tips on Making Youtube Video

Making a YouTube video really depends on the subject. No subject, no video, obviously. There are many different subjects for making a video for YouTube. Such as, Video Game Montage, Music Video, eBlog, etc.

Come up with a idea. This could be anything really! Just making sure its entertaining and intresting. Try to aim for a particular audience. Make sure you don’t violate the Youtube Terms of Service. Also it can’t be more than 10 minutes long unless you are a partner with Youtube.

Think how you will do it. You’ll definetly need a video camera or if you’re animating, a animating program and also a profile on Youtube. It’s free don’t worry! Video editing is very useful (needed for Pivot animations) and getting some friends and family to join in makes it a really fun exprience.

Make the video. You can use either Windows Movie maker, or any other video editing program on the web.

Save the video/movie/compilation/montage as a video file. (Should automatically do it on whatever program you’re using.

Go to YouTube.com and log in or create an account. Then click “Upload” at the top right corner. Fill in your video’s information and click “Upload a Video…” at the bottom.

Find the video file on your computer, and upload away. It will take time, after it uploads it has to go through tests to check for screamers and whatnot. Once it’s done with that, congratulate yourself on your first YouTube video!

Create an appropriate title for you video and description.

Make sure your video is youtube appropriate.

Advertise! Post video responses and comments on other popular youtube videos.

TIPS
Try not to make the video too long, because this just means that you’ll have less ratings. This also means it will take much longer to upload/confirm.

If it is an eBlog/Vlog/Video Blog, be sure to make it interesting, unless it’s just for family/friends. If it’s public, it will most likely get horrible ratings if it’s boring, or if it’s about something people don’t want to hear.

Put tags that are related to that video and be sure to put in all the words to help people find your video or you will not get very much views.

Be sure it`s a compatible video format. Pay a visit to the youtube help center to see what formats are compatible.
